A professor at Harvard University, Dr. Chris Dede will describe key 21st century skills that education must foster, as well as technology-based teaching methods that help students master those skills. Dr. Dede will also discuss the implications of these issues for district policies and leadership strategies.

Having been a janitor, teacher, principal, superintendent and for a brief period a professional baseball player, Bob Ash has spoken to over 1,100 organizations throughout the nation. Bob's presentation will focus on personal growth, team building, managing change and leadership.

Writing Instruction That Works
Scott Miller has served as a teacher, literacy coach, instructional specialist and a coordinator of writing instruction. Scott's presentation, which is designed to be immediately useful to participants will focus upon elements of excellent writing instruction, including practical suggestions for instructional improvement. He will cite research and professional literature describing the importance of process-based, trait-specific writing in mutliple genres and across the curriculum.
